AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)

The AIDS Drug Assistance program is a state administered program that provides HIV/AIDS medications to lower income individuals living with HIV disease with absolutely no insurance coverage (except for Medicare). The State of Georgia currently has a waiting list for the ADAP program.

ADAP is authorized under the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act of 2006.

ADAP must be payer of last resort.

Eligibility for ADAP:

  • HIV infected

  • Currently reside in Gwinnett, Rockdale or Newton County

  • Have an annual federal income equal to or below 300% of the current Federal Poverty Level

  • Are not currently receiving or eligible for Medicaid or other third party payer


  • ALL CLIENTS ENROLLED IN THE ADAP PROGRAM ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR RECERTIFYING FOR THE PROGRAM EVERY 6 MONTHS.
