The Atlanta AIDSWalk is the southeast's largest AIDS fundraising event, raising over $1 million last year for people living with HIV/AIDS in Georgia. AIDS Walk Atlanta is a fundraising walk-a-thon. The 5-kilometer (3.1-mile) fundraising walkathon begins and ends in Atlanta’s beautiful Piedmont Park.  The AIDS Walk is Sunday, October 21, 2007.

AIDGwinnett began participating as a benefiting organization in 1994.  Since that time our team has been one of the most successful teams.  Over these past eleven years, volunteers with AIDGwinnett – Team 1002 have raised over $310,000.00 for persons living right here in our community.

AIDGwinnett walkers know that the only guaranteed way to ensure the money they raise comes back to their county is by walking with AIDGwinnett.  AIDGwinnett is guaranteed to receive every dollar from the AIDS Walk that is turned in by our team members.  While Gwinnett, Rockdale and Newton businesses may walk as their own separate teams, this money may never effect or make an impact on the lives of their own neighbors living with HIV/AIDS.  Unfortunately many businesses, churches, schools and civic organizations do not realize that the funds their groups work so hard to raise may not be helping people in their own area.

We can all be certain that our dollars are making a difference by registering with AIDGwinnett – Team 1002.  Click here to register online today!

As a part of the AIDGwinnett Team, you and your organization can easily maintain your own identity.  Often our supporting groups wear their own t-shirts, carry their own banner and even have their own sign in section at the AIDGwinnett table.  Your group will still be eligible for other benefits of the AIDGwinnett Team:  each walker will receive an AIDGwinnett AIDS Walk T-shirt and still be eligible to win free air line tickets.

To register as a group or individually, please call (678) 990-6440 or send an email to aidswalk@aidgwinnett.org.  You can also register online!
